EC: Ice Dance, free dance

EM-kisojen jäätanssin oudoin ja persoonallisin ohjelma nähtiin saksalaisilta Nelli Zhigansina ja Alexander Gazsilta. Näin tämän ohjelman ensi kertaa ja aluksi en tiennyt mitä ajatella. Loppua kohden aloin pitämään tästä todella paljon, pidän ohjelmista jotka ovat hieman erilaisia ja rohkeita ja jotka saavat hämmästymään. Monet liikkeet olivat hassuja ja tarkoituksella kömpelön näköisiä, mainio ohjelma joka kannattaa katsoa!

This was the oddest free dance I have seen in a long time. Nelli Zhigansina and Alexander Gazsi form Germany had such a creative and program and at first I didn't know what to think of it. As the program went on I started to like it; the awkward moves and poses and strange music selection made me impressed! I really like this one now, it's definitely something worth to watch!




Olin yllättynyt että voittotaistelusta kahden venäläisparin välillä tuli niin tiukka. En pidä itse ollenkaan Nikita Katsalapovin ja Elena Ilinykhin ohjelmasta, olen myös huomannut kuinka tällä kaudella Nikita on ruvennut tuulettelemaan teennäisesti joka ohjelman lopuksi vaikka kaikki ohjelmat eivät ole edes menneet hyvin. Aivan kuin vakuuttelisi tuomareita; meni mahtavasti antakaa lisää pisteitä! Bobrova/Soloviev luistelivat hyvin ja heillä sentään on kivat ohjelmat, joten onneksi voitto meni heille. On silti ikävää ajatella, että jos Pechalat/Bourzat olisi ollut mukana, Cappellini/Lanotte olisi jälleen kerran jäänyt ilman mitaleita. He toki näyttivät hieman hitaammilta kuin venäläisparit, mutta eivät mitenkään erityisen paljon ja heillä on teknisesti kaikkein vaikein ohjelma. Oli kuitenkin jo lyhytohjemasta asti selvää että tämä tuomariraati ei heitä korkeammille mitaleille päästäisi, onneksi MM-kisoissa on eri tuomarit, katsotaan miten he siellä rankkaavat italialaiset venäläisiin suhteutettuna.


I was surprised that the gap between the Russians was so small. Personally I don't like at all Katsalapov/Ilinykh's free dance and also I have noticed how Nikita has started during this season cheering at the end of every program, no matter how they have skated, even with mistakes. It looks quite fake and sort of like he would be assuring the judges; this went so well give us more points! At least Bobrova/Soloviev had good programs so I'm happy they won. It is still sad to think that if Pechalat/Bourzat had been in Zagreb, Capellini/Lanotte would be once again out of the podium. They do look a bit slow compared to the Russians, but not much; they have a great presentation and technical side, it really should be worth of more. Luckily there will be different judging panels in the upcoming competitions, we'll see how they rank the Italiand and Russians there.
